The Village Artists and Gallery has been open since December 2001. We are a democratically run non-profit artists' cooperative made up of approx. 40 members. Each member brings a specific individual skill and training to our group and this provides variety and stimulation to the work that we display.
The membership meets once a month. Various volunteer committees serve the larger enterprise and keep the operation running. Each member works in the Gallery eight hours a month in a sales capacity and for this reason most of our members live within a reasonable driving distance to the Gallery. There is no paid staff and our Board is elected yearly. Each member pays a nominal monthly fee that helps to support the enterprise.
New members are brought into the group through a jury process. At this time, we are seeking new members. Please visit the Gallery to find out more about how you can apply for the jury process. Should you be interested in our organization, please feel free to ask questions.
